List of Affiliated Universities

Our university (NUHW) concluded agreements on academic cooperatives with seven universities (faculties).
Memorandums of Understanding (MOU) were signed and exchanged to work collaboratively in the area of enhancing academic opportunities within research and education for both the faculty and the students of the respective institutions. Several collaborative relationships have officially been started.

1. The University of Southern Queensland (USQ), Australia
The second MOU was concluded between USQ and NUHW on February 24th 2006.
Our staff visited the Health Care Center and discussed the E-learning system for foreign language education.

2. Husson University, USA (agreement concluded on June 26th, 2006)
Our Staff and undergraduate students visited this university for English training and music therapy.

3. Far Eastern State Medical University, Russia
(The agreement was concluded on September 29th, 2006)
Nursing education was discussed while comparing Russia with Japan.
In April 2008, a symposium was held to discuss the relationship between environmental problems and health in Niigata City and Khabarovsk.

4. California State University, Fresno, USA
(The agreement was concluded on June 29th, 2007)
Our staff and undergraduate students from the Physical Therapy Department visit this university every year. The purpose of these visits is to promote exchanges between the two departments in relation to future research, collaborative education as well as invention techniques, and visiting institutions to learn about the medical care system in the USA. A graduate of NUHW are enrolled at the graduate school of this university.

5. Faculty of Health and Social Care Sciences, Kingston University & St George's University of London, United Kingdom
(The agreement was concluded on September 9th, 2009)
An MOU was concluded to encourage joint research opportunities in health and social care and academic development in inter-professional education with a particular focus.
The purpose of this MOU is to promote staff and student exchange and to facilitate the transfer of international study abroad, particularly for students interested in advanced degrees in nursing, occupational therapy and physiotherapy.

6. Hung Kuang University, Taiwan
An agreement was concluded between Niigata University of Health and Welfare and Hung Kuang University of Science and Technology, which is located in the central Taiwan in August 10, 2010.

7. Angeles University Foundation, Philippines
An agreement was concluded between Niigata University of Health and Welfare and Angeles University Foundation, which is located in Southern Luzon Island, the Philippines in August 18, 2010.
